I would like to take the opportunity to welcome the Technology Center family (faculty, staff, students and parents), visitors, friends, community and industry! It is an honor to be the new Director of the Technology Center.
We would like to welcome our new family members from Calhoun County High School and I am confident that your experience with the Technology Center will be rewarding.
Last year was a banner year. The Technology Center is a six time Palmetto Gold Award winner and was selected as a showcase school by the State Department of Education. We have been selected twice as a Red Carpet School for customer service and we are designated as a National Blue Ribbon School Lighthouse Award recipient for academic excellence. Our school is also honored to be certified by The National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) in Automotive Painting and Refinishing.
Last year, we had 219 completers, 13 students received The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification, 3 students received their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and one student was licensed as a cosmetologist. Each of our student organizations (DECA, FCCLA, FBLA, HOSA, and SkillsUSA) had students to qualify to represent us at the State and National level.
We invite our parents, the community, and business partners to come see the best kept secret in Orangeburg and observe us prepare our students for the future.
